Faiz and I went to a chess competition for the first time at Nilai University, NS. It was also an opportunity to check-out the venue which is being used for fencing training. The prize-giving ceremony ended around 8pm and Faiz received RM50 - the prize for 20th place out of more than 160 players. We were very hungry by then and wanted to immediately go for dinner at the nearby Nilai town.

On the way to dinner though, Faiz stumbled or saw the minaret of a mosque behind some shoplots we were passing by and requested that we go to the mosque first since we've not performed our prayers. There were no signage going to the mosque (most probably we did not see one because it was dark) and ended up going in a different direction before making a u-turn.

I was quite pleasantly surprised to discover a 'vibrant' mosque with many people going in and out, a presumably new year's ceramah taking place coupled with a wedding preparations taking place in one of the mosque's room/hall. After prayers, we decided to distribute our Islamic Estate Planning flyers to the jemaah. Hopefully, we have a new client for Qiblah Consulting's Islamic Advisory business.

In Kelantan for MSSM, Friday Prayers at MUKIM TUNJUNG Mosque - KELANTAN

Arrived via Malindo Air's morning flight, checked-in at hotel near Wakaf Che Yeh and just managed to locate a nearby mosque for Friday prayers. Faiz and I went together with a KL chess teacher in-charge of the Girls Squad who's also an Ustaz.

This year's Lodeh QC was performed at around 1.30-2.00AM, the morning on 1st Syawal...a departure from previous years when it could be done only around 3AM and onwards.

...and as per previous years, the Sayur Lodeh is the first dish to finish compared to the rendang, ketupat kuah kacang etc etc. DESPITE more Lodeh being cooked this year.

On the way to Melaka we decided to exit the Pedas-Linggi exit in search of a mosque for Friday prayers as we were running late for our intended destination near the Simpang Ampat exit.

Earlier, OP Zaidi had already WA me to inform that I can either turn left or right after exiting the toll house as there should be a mosque within distance. Upon checking with the female toll operator at the toll booth as to whether to turn left or right for the nearest mosque she suggested turning left, which led us to the mosque for the first time.
